La Rochelle is a port city situated in a steep gorge on the top of a mountain.[1][2] The city's buildings are carved into the gorge, noted to be the feat of square class mage. It is used as an entry point to Albion from Halkeginia. The port city has a population of 300. It is two days away from Tristain, presumably the academy, by horse.[1]
The city is a prime spot for a port due to its high position, which allows airships to use less Windstones when traversing from the mainland to Albion.
